A Picture On My Wall,That's All

Verse 1
I've been paying the bills
for the holes
you've been digging
catching trains to get to work
there has to be a better way
theres plenty to write about
in your diary about our yesterdays
you better get it straight baby

Verse 2
the clock on your wall
doesnt keep time at all
its a different day
but not for you
I know
you've been calling me
why do you keep knocking
on my door
have you picked your life up
off the floor
baby Im
Greyhound
Greyhound bound

chorus
and the last thing
I heard her say
oh,where you going
but baby
oh,your nothing more then
a picture on my wall

Verse 3
But,
I found a better payday
all the dead presidents I saved
dont have a chance
of coming close
to your hands
have you picked
your life up off the floor
why the hell are you still
knocking on my
Baby I went,
I went
Greyhound bound

chorus
and the last thing
I heard her say
oh,where you going
but baby
oh,your nothing more then
a picture on my wall

Lead Guitar

End
and the last thing
I heard her say
oh,where you going
but baby
oh,your nothing more then
a picture on my wall

Yep That's all

At daydream time

Part of this song is an idea I had long ago. I decided I'd complete the piece so that it could be recorded. It is still very short anyway. I played the song as it is like twenty times, but it looks like the more I play, the harder it is for me to do it without hitting the wrong keys, so I finally thought I'd just upload the best one so far, so that you guys could listen to it. I hope you can, for I'm getting a message telling bandamp's functions for playing and downloading are not working at the moment.
In the end. It'll still need some work, but I hope you like it so far.

Remixed from previous upload http://forum.bandamp.com/Audio_Review/6348.html

Raised vox
fattened Eq on vox
Reduced reverb, plus changed reverb type.

Hopefully my friend Mike Mckenzie should be adding drums when he's set up his apple mac/logic and learned how to use it.

Cheers

Who I Am

Just another song to add to the dusty archives. Basically, I love to write and record. I'll be doing it in the ground after I'm buried. Sorry I haven't been a regular here. I have a lot going on in my life, but I always think of this site when I record something and like to share it. Hope all's well with everybody. Keep rockin' !!

For Duane

This is my tribute to Duane Allman. Listening to him I realized that all the rules I had learned so far could be broken. He certainly wasn't the first to use alternate tunings, picking techniques and a slide, but he was the one who opened these doors for me.
I wrote this song to be a prelude to Duane Allman's composition "Little Martha", and you can hear the first couple bars of it as the tune fades. I left it there just to show "For Duane" in the context for which it was intended. Hope that's within the rules.

Steal Away

This is an orchestral arrangement of an old spiritual melody that I've had a thing about for years. I did this recording just to get it off my chest really.
It weighs in at around 7 mins so, if you don't like it, there's plenty time to make a cup of tea.

Can't sing, can't dance, can compose a little. I'm probably a bit past being a pop star now at 41 as my legs long ago ceased to look like Kylie's. I don't really compose this sort of thing any more but it's been cooped up a long time and is due an outing.
